Joe Pernice is a Quarterfinalist for the Academy’s Nicholl Fellowship for his screenplay THE NIGHT BETWEEN US, has been ranked on Business Insider's 30 Under 30 list for Most Creative People in Advertising, and was inducted into SHOOT’s 2015 New Directors Showcase being honored as one of the best up-and-coming directors of the year. His work has been honored at major award shows and has received top honors at Cannes Lions, One Show, The Andys and AICP where he won back-to-back (2015 and 2016) honors in the PSA category.

His feature directorial debut, CHASING YESTERDAY, has been recognized internationally and among the awards received to date, it was named “Best Home Grown Feature” at the Garden State Film Festival and received the Rising Star Award at the Canada International Film Festival. It was acquired by Cinema Vault and theatrically released June 2016.

Prior to advertising, Joe began his career in the Production and Development department of Robert DeNiro's Tribeca Productions. He graduated NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a B.F.A. in Film and Television.
